Caring for your Camphor Laurel Boards

Camphor Laurel has natural Anti-microbial properties and is regarded as one of the safest surfaces for food preparation. This is because the natural properties reduce the microbial growth from food on the board.

To clean your board simply wipe down with warm water and dry, do not soak your board in water.

Boards are not dishwasher safe.

Store in a darker spot in your kitchen as the sunlight can change the beautiful colour of your board. Natural weather conditions can also cause changes in your board, moisture or cold can cause contracting or swelling.

Your board may become rough to touch, this is due to it being as close to its natural state as possible.

To maintain your board's smooth surface, please follow these simple steps:

- Make sure it is completely dry

- Give it a light rub with 220 grit sand paper

- Apply oil.  You can use vegetable or grape seed oil (Not olive oil). Just apply a little oil to a clean cloth and gently rub in a circular motion until absorbed.
